Profile of the Company

ATAC Computers Ltd formally ATAC Computer Systems was born out of a desire to put the service back into customers service This began in another business in Sheffield and extended to computers when the company purchased a system and nobody had a clue how to use or get the best out of it. Several months later I was sorting out not just the companies but clients computer problems too. When I sold that business we moved to Nottingham where a company in Langley Mill, who subsequently had a computer company based on the efforts of a team of telephone canvasses, asked me to assess the credibility a shop annexed to their premises  which was really surplus to requirements but acted as a local supply for consumables. 

It had never made any money and was about to be converted into a storeroom when the owner decided on one last attempt and contacted me because he’d heard of some of the goods things we had been doing. 

I agreed that I would at least determine if it was viable on a 90-day mandate. 

During this period ATAC methodology was put to the test and resulted in massive increases in turnover. The old fashion style with a modern approach proved customers still craved that personal touch. However, the best results were achieved on clients premises and this is where I would focus our type of service.

Because of this attention to customer needs we agreed to disagree and I went to university to increase my knowledge further and to qualify some of the experience I had gained. 

We look at problems with a view to save money and we bring a level of professionalism that suits both domestic and business clients.

As I had discovered while the shop based system worked well the real niche in the market was on-site maintenance and as a result we now cover a vast area of the country as well as local users and businesses.

Engineers handle a limited amount of clients so the one who knows your problems best is the one you will see most of the time.

We are still growing in that our aim is to employ local engineers in every town and city. This is more difficult than it sounds because the right attitude to service is not in abundance but we are always on the look out for the right sort of candidate.
